Enjoy this Animal Lovers 5 day, 5 night tour. You'll spend four days visiting four National Parks: Zion Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell/Glen Canyon and the Grand Canyon.

You also get an extra day in Kanab, Utah to enjoy the amazing non-profit facility of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. A representative at the sanctuary will take you on a full day tour of their facility. You will learn about the cute cuddly animals cared for, and have a 'hands on' opportunity to help with the rehabilitation and care given them.

To learn more about this non-profit facility, you can find the ancient wondrous world of Native American Angel Canyon, home of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, on the National Geographic Channel. All this excitement adds to the western feel of hiking, sightseeing and discovering the natural beauties of the four National Parks. All meals, trail snacks, lodging, and exciting nightly entertainment are included in this tour. Natural history presentations, a visit to one of the areas finest historical movie star hotels, and watching a classic western movie in a barn, are only a few of the activities on the agenda.

Your trail guide will provide you with a never ending supply of geological and historical information. The small tour groups will make your experience much more intimate with the natural surroundings, and will give you many more opportunities to photograph, and take in the serenity of the beautiful country.

Itinerary

Check into your hotel the night before.

Day 1:
You'll be picked up at the hotel for an 8:00 am departure to begin your spectacular day at Zion National Park, a short forty-five minute drive.

Zion National Park is one of nature's greatest wonders. You will never forget a 1 mile drive through the Zion Tunnel, a stop at the Visitors Center, then a few short hikes to various places in the park. Take a break and eat lunch at the Zion Lodge, you then get the privilege of hiking the Zion Narrows where the Virgin River has carved out an awe inspiring narrow canyon with 2,000 foot high cliffs on each side. This trail ranks #5 in National Geographic Adventure Magazine.

You will depart Zion National Park at 4:00 pm back to Kanab, Utah, where you will enjoy a gourmet home style meal prepared for you at Houston's Trails End Restaurant.

Day 2:
Depart from your hotel at 8:00 am Journey only an hour and forty-five minutes to visit breath taking Bryce Canyon National Park.

Head out on a 37-mile round-trip drive, with several short hikes, to Bryce Canyon's most famous viewpoints. A lunch buffet and large gift shop at famous Ruby's Inn is a great break in the day. Then an ATV ride, to the rim of the canyon, is an intimate and first hand view of the uniqueness of the Canyon, and a great way to wrap up the day.

Depart Bryce Canyon National Park at 3:30 pm returning to Kanab, Utah.

Have dinner, see a gun show, and do a little shopping at Frontier Movie Town!

Day 3:
Depart from your hotel at 8:00 am Anticipate your arrival during the one hour drive to beautiful Lake Powell and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

Antelope Canyon Cruise is just one of the activities you will enjoy with National Park Tourz. Dine at the Wahweep Lodge, where you'll have a relaxing lunch overlooking the glimmering lake and landscape. You'll then go down inside Glen Canyon Dam on a guided tour.

Depart for Kanab, Utah at 4:00 pm where dining in a historical movie star hotel is as much fun to see as the food is delicious. You'll have plenty of free time to shop the charming main street of Kanab.

Day 4:
Depart from your hotel at 9:00 am In just five miles you'll be overlooking the breathtaking Best Friends Animal Sanctuary home of Angel Canyon!

A representative at the sanctuary will take you on a tour of their facility with amazing places to see in the ancient wondrous world of Native American Angel Canyon. You will help and learn about the cute cuddly animals they care for and the rehabilitation and care given.

Day 5:
Depart from your hotel at 8:00 am In just eighty miles you'll be overlooking the Grand Canyon!

There are many trails to choose from for spectacular views of the canyon. Fill your belly at the Grand Canyon Lodge, with an amazing overlook of the beautiful vast canyon, a delicious lunch buffet is served. A charming gift shop village for those with a shopping passion is fun way to grab your souvenirs. You then can choose to experience more of the Grand Canyon on the back of a sure footed mule for a 1 hour adventure, or opt to hike a few more of the overlook points and just quietly enjoy the beauty surrounding you in your last hours of visiting this breathtaking place.

3:30 pm departure. Farewell Dinner 5:00 pm, Cowboy goodbyes.
